How far in advance do I need to reserve my wedding date?
Since we book wedding dates daily, the earlier the better to make sure your date will be available for you.

How do I reserve my wedding day with you?
We require ½ retainer with the balance due 14 days before the wedding date. When the retainer is received, we send you a confirmation and a contract for the services you ordered.

How do I pay for the wedding services ?
On the web site you click on the payment plan you wish to use, we take Pay Pal , Master card, Visa or a check made out to Sun Coast Beach Weddings. If you have any questions, please call us at: 850.974.2990.

Where do I get my marriage license?
For Alabama, the town nearest to the beaches is Bay Minette, Alabama call 251.937.0260 for information. For Florida, Pensacola, Perdido Key and Destin areas, the office is in Pensacola call 850.595.3930.

Who files the marriage license after the wedding?

The Pastor/officiant will send your license Priority mail and the certified copy will be mailed to you from the clerks office . The process may take up to a month. If you are still in town the next business day, you can return the license where it was issued and receive your certified copy immediately. We recommend you purchase more than one certified copy at that time.

For an Alabama certified copy of your wedding license there is an additional fee and paperwork you fill out and send to where the license was issued to receive your certified copy.

Does the Pastor/Officiant see us before the wedding takes place and explain the procedure?
On the weddings where there is an arch set up and etc., the Pastor/Officiant will be there several hours before the wedding to talk with you and get your marriage license before the wedding.

On the weddings without the arch and etc., the Pastor/Officiant will be there 30 mins before the service to get the license and talk with you.

What happens if it rains? (Which is very rare)
We suggest you have a backup location, for your wedding. If is is raining or going to be raining, it is your responsibility to have a backup location. If it is raining or is going to be raining, we cannot set up the arch on the beach but we can still provide the wedding services inside or under a sheltered area. No refunds will be made due to inclement weather.

Where will my wedding take place on the beach?
Your wedding will be on the beach in front of your condo, hotel or beach house where you are staying.

Can I have my children as part of the wedding?
Yes, we like to include them in the sand ceremony, that is where you all will pour colored sand into a keepsake bottle you keep. Let us know how many children are going to be involved so we will have enough colors of sand available.

Should I have chairs for my guests since the summer days will be hot on the beach?
The beach in the summer is quite warm and humid sometimes. It might be a more comfortable experience for your immediate family or any elderly guests to be seated to enjoy every minute of your wedding ceremony!

What is the best time for the wedding?
One hour before sunset, we will put the sunset time on your wedding contract.

Will there be a lot of people on the beach?
Most people leave the beach around 3 or 4 o’clock.

How do I find a place to stay ?
Look on the Internet under Gulf Shores, Alabama rentals, Perdido Key rentals, Pensacola Beach Rentals or Destin Beach Rentals. We travel, so you can place your retainer even before you have your place to stay.

Can I bring my own pastor?

Should I have the professional sound system for my wedding?
Yes, the professional sound system includes a mic for the Pastor/Officiant so everyone can hear the wedding vows and the wedding music is heard at a much longer distance than with just the CD player.

Can I bring CD’s or MP3’s I’d like to be played at the wedding?

Can I select my own colors for the arch flowers?
The bamboo arches can be decorated with either tropical flowers or with flowing material. Just send us a picture of what you want and we will try and duplicate your idea.

Where can I get a tasty wedding cake?
The cakes from Publix have always tasted great.
