The wedding sand ceremony is a beach wedding tradition.

As part of the wedding officiant service, we can lead into a part that we walk over to a decorated table that we provide that has two different colored sand containers. The bride has one color of sand and the groom has the another. They each take turns pouring the sand.

By blending the two sand colors together in a heart-shaped vase (we provide) it joins you in marriage as the sand joins together as one. This replaces the traditional candle lighting you may see at a church wedding.

After your wedding, you get to keep the blended sand vase you both created to take home with you.

For large families when kids are involved in the wedding you can add on more colored sand containers. This way the bride and groom and each child or teen can pour some different colored sand to blend it all together creating the new family union. And a great keepsake for the family.

Our Special Sand ceremony is included with most all our Gulf Shores beach wedding packages.

It includes our a decorated table we bring and the sand containers and the heart-shaped container to pore sand into. It is included with our packages like our Towers Of Love or Red Heart Of Roses and our bamboo arch setup. See all our beach wedding packages Here

Add on extra sand containers for kids or teens with colored sand for $10 each.

Sand Ceremony Sand Colors

Sand colors we offer are – White, Pink, Light Blue, Dark Blue, Yellow, Green, Red, and Orange. We can get other special colors on request.

If you are having your wedding at a state park beach or Gulf Shores beach access no glass items are allowed. We have special plastic heart-shaped sand vases to use just for this. If the wedding is at a rented beach home or other location we may be able to use Glass containers just check with the owners first. You can also bring your own custom container you want to use to pore sand into.

The wedding sand ceremony is by the end of the wedding and takes around 4 to 5 minutes. It includes our officiant saying some special words for the sand ceremony and direction the poring of the sand. The wedding sand ceremony can be a lot of fun for the full family to be a part of.
